Matthew Fletcher, the founder of My Ability, has been dedicated to this field since 2017. At just 17 years old, he gained invaluable experience working with individuals across the spectrum of disabilities. By the age of 18, Matthew relocated to Brisbane, Australia, to pursue a career in Rugby League. With ample spare time, he establish his own business, focusing on supporting individuals with autism and learning difficulties, along with their families. This venture quickly flourished and received high praise throughout Brisbane.
During this period, Matthew observed firsthand the positive impact of engaging athletes and young people as support workers. Inspired by his extensive network of professional athlete friends and the growing number of requests for assistance, he launched the My Ability platform.
Having grown up with a brother who has learning difficulties, Matthew brings personal insight to his mission. My Ability represents the culmination of his deep-rooted passion for creating a positive impact and uniting athletes and young people committed to supporting individuals living with disabilities. The goal is to foster meaningful connections and share experiences that enhance clients' perceptions of possibility, demonstrating that nothing can hold them back, and together, they can achieve great things.
Athletes and young adults, as support workers, have the energy and infectious personality to support children and young adults living with a disability. Here at My Ability, we form lifelong friendships. The individuals we support see us more as friends than caregivers, which is why My Ability has been as successful as it has been. The one

Here at My Ability, we form lifelong friendships. The individuals we support see us more as friends than caregivers, which is why My Ability has been as successful as it has been. The one-on-one attention we give each client is second to no other, our biggest aim here at My Ability is to put smiles on the faces of the individuals we support and their families, and we do just that.
